October 13 - October 26, 2019

	Sunday October 13, 2019 8:00Pm: I have a new team, The South Bay 49ers, sorry, it is hard for me, I did not like Montana..........long story, but I like this new 49er team. Their defense is on fire.........I still like the Raiders first, but remember I was a 49er fan First back in 1951 Harvest is winding down. So we have to figure what to harvest in the next few days. Catarino and I think we could be harvesting the last First crop by Friday., every thing is ready..........of course we have to think about the second crop which would be Dave's Cuvee. It is about anything left after we  go through 20 acres and find some fruit lost those hidden gems, lost then in the First Crop. We are organized here  as I have said, most businesses here...........and we have survived with this CRAZY shut off of our right to have POWER........... So it should be easy now. We have about 20 tons out there and IT is all ready to go. So we can do 4 tons a day, easy so we will be done by Friday?..........tomorrow is another day Tuesday October 15, 2019   8:00 Pm: We are almost through so I am thinking a little about politics, sports and a vacation. We are heading to New Zealand on Thanksgiving night. We will be in The City so we hope someone will take us to San Francisco to take off in business class and arrive in Auckland............... OK, that is all planned but Harvest is more complicated.......... The shut off did impact us but how much.........Since we could not irrigate.......all fruit coming in now is real dehydrated. So we have to add water to make the sugar down to 25% or so. We have to do a bunch of analysis which after all these years is easy for me. HARVEST      So Tomorrow we only have a small amount of Carignan..........And a very little of Sangiovese which will go into Italiano. Then we have Petite Verdot and Montepulciano which will be in by Friday..........Then we go out and create the best wine:::: Dave's Cuvee........... Yes What is still out waiting for Dave's Cuvee.............. Wednesday October 16, 2019   8:00 Pm: I am in to the Harvest We should be finished with the First Crop tomorrow .................. I am thinking about politics as usual along with Tesla and the stock market. I am into Tesla for back up here for the winery so I will have more.......... Thursday October 17, 2019 We brought in our Montepulciano and Petit Verdot today to finish the first crop. Tomorrow we will start on the second crop which will go into Dave's Cuvee. Friday October 18, 2019 We did finish the first crop yesterday and we started on 2nd crop today. In a few weeks, Catarino and Martha are heading off to a vacation in Mexico and I heard Jose wants to go somewhere soon after we finish pressing. We have to blend in December so we have time for all to take a vacation. Our temporary warriors will finish next week and I hear some of them will also go back to Mexico. What would I do with out these great Mexican workers. I am glad Trump is busy with his other problems and not terrorizing my workers. We are packing up boxes for our Wine Club Shipment and it will go out next week. In the mean time we will finish picking the 2nd crop. Pat and I are going off to New Zealand in December and when we get back of course the blending of our new 2019 wines will start. Kate married a Packer fan so it will be hard for them this weekend when The Raiders go against the Green bay Packers on Sunday. Monday October 21, 2019...........I am so upset No not about The Raiders, I am over that since tomorrow or the next day.......................... PG&E has given us a notice,...........they may shut off our power next week, right when we want to send our Wine Club and of course still pressing...............I am so depressed............... Tuesday October 22, 2019 I know most of you have not had an outage, like your electrical provider has stopped your electricity yes now even lights. As business here in Sonoma County it was hard on all of us since we lost business two weeks ago. SSSSSSSOOOOOOOOOO PG&E is in bankruptcy so they can shut off power with out reason.........this is complicated..................yes it could happen again tomorrow TODAY::::We finished Harvest with the Second Crop to go into Dave's Cuvee.......wow real intense and we will have to tone down the alcohol........We need to press tomorrow our last weeks Harvest wines and hope the outage is late in the day. I want OUR      great Harvesters to pick olives tomorrow so I will try to make homemade olive oil without a press......more soon..........tomorrow is another day
