The following is a tasting note which was posted on several wine bulletin boards on the net:
14.1 alcohol; 75 petite sirah, 11 cab. sauvignon, 8 carignane, 6 zin.;
250 cases made, Dry Creek Valley appellation/
translucent purple/ expansive nose of blueberry, blackberry and candied
cherry; some spice and pepper; touch of oak/ medium to full body, soft
mouthfeel, taste follows nose with black-cherry and bramble flavors added,
very focused flavors, good concentration, lively acidity and very fine,
almost hidden tannins, nicely integrated/ long finish with an excellent
fruit-acid-tannin balance/ Overall: A low tannin, fruit driven petite -
when was the last time you could say that of petite! Delicious now - will
hold awhile."
