2011 7:00 Pm: So far, Duane is happy tonight. He is a Packer fan. I love Amazon, AMZN is moving up again. I own common stock. I am still trying to figure out why AMZN is not going down? I am nervous. Are they investing in their future? Of course that AMZN is Wall Street, common stock, the corporation's worth. Wall Street is important. Most of the money in this nation is controlled by Wall Street corporations. That is how new companies prove what they are worth!!! They also generate money by selling common stock. If anyone brings down Wall Street, my opinion is this Nation will go down hill. Amazon, the company, is losing money on many of their adventures..... the most noticeable is PRIME, free shipping in two days and for only $75 a year. Amazon is so dependable, I sure signed up. Sounds like a good idea for us?? I'll talk to Pat!!!?? Tuesday November 15, 2011 Free shipping? Sure we could start another club or have an option to extend free shipping to those who are willing to pay a yearly fee. We already have free shipping for the 6 packs sent twice a year to Dave's Club members. But that does not apply to purchases of bottled wine sold on our order forms. If we do it, I was thinking of a fee of $99 but I don't know if we can afford it for those who purchase more than 3 cases a year and have the wine shipped to the East Coast. Of course we could limit the free shipping to a limited amount of cases, say 5 for a year. I'll have to think more about this idea. I just finished with the preliminary spread sheet to determine the percentages and case amounts of our 20 wines to be produced this year. Our vineyard production was down again so we are running out of wine and thus in the next few days the online order form will reflect an increase of $1 a bottle on 2011 Futures. We are already sold out of our 2011 Cabernet Franc and may sell out of a few others before the Wine Road Barrel Tasting in March. Only the Zinfandel, My Zin, Estate Cuvee and Block 4 will have a production over 200 cases. The Block 6 Zinfandel, Lagrein, Pinot Noir, Petit Verdot and Aglianico will be under 100 cases. All the planned wines will be from our Estate Vineyard right where our tasting room is and also where Pat and I reside. The 2011 wines will be blended in the first two weeks of January and later that month we will bottle our 2010 wines that were aged 16 months. We will have an open house on December 10 so come by and taste the 2011 wines before we blend and the 2010 wines ready for pick up in February. |
