David Coffaro Vineyard and Winery Winemaker's Diary

Week 23
June 3, 2001 to June 9, 2001

Friday June 8,  2001

It has been a heck of a week. Of course my weeks are never dull. The temperature has been as high as 100 again and the vines are growing and the next step is to do a little thinning and run some more fertilizer through our drip system. My new press is coming next week and so many things are happening, I don't have time to relate. Two of the most important things are as follows:

Our insulation in our new building is finally happening.  We decided to have it blown into our 8 inch walls to achieve R29. The truck was broken down , but another truck was borrowed and finally arrived today. I must have the building ready for wine by the time we finish bottling on the 13th of July. This is such a long story that I don't have time to even start. What problems!!

The most important occurrence this week is that we finally have Starband up and running on all four of our computers. This has taken 5 weeks!!! (not Starband's fault). We decided to bypass the router for now and go with Winproxy to connect our four computers. Another long story that I hope to tell at a later date.

I just wanted to at least get a short message up this week. Now I am off to see the Ali-Frazier fight (daughters).
