Sunday April 3, 2016

On May 3, 2016 I will be even more old. As I have realized I am not what I used to be. Sure I have trouble picking up a 35 pound case of wine so I have to be careful. I fail at times.............

I fell again two days ago. I was hoping it was not a broken bone like three broken bones over a year ago,.

It did not seem like a big problem but now I know I will be dealing with this back injury for 4-6 weeks. It is not as bad as before. Alcohol helps............last time nothing helped. I also think as usual weed does not help............maybe

So my hope is the Oregon Coast on the first week of May. It does not cost much there and the food is OK, but I am not as particular anymore........Good wine and decent food, especially seafood would be my first choice.............

As some of you know Pat and I have been on several cruises lately and I really like them. Even Pat likes them because she can go off and enjoy the entertainment, but I just read, and some times I adventure around the Ship and go to a few shows or events. I like escaping by reading just like I did up in Seattle by looking into Estate planning...............Novels like Eminent i through V, terrific

As you can see I want to drive my Tesla Model S on a trip to Oregon and beyond on May 3 and after.........

Like I said before Pat and i enjoy cruises, good food and great waves...........

I have to have a room on the back of the ship. It is large and is so great for me since I can hear the roar of the ship forging forward. I know most of you would not pay for that experience, but I think it is worth it

Recently I thought maybe I do not need a cabin at the end of a ship.......not what you think.........why not the Oregon Coast.

A cabin on a cruise, I am mentioning on our North Coast, would cost $1000 a day and much more even if you are careful. Think about it: I could live very well at the best places up on that beautiful Coast. So at 73 maybe I could find a $1000 place on the Oregon Coast..........I will look into that.............

I am happy now

yesterday was better and today is OK also. I still have trouble with my back but it looks like it is about the back problem I have had since 30 years old, a right side way down low which should recover in a week or so, so we are blending wine..........

Josh and Jose are working hard and Catarino and Martha and Salvador are working out in the vineyard.........This is the time to TIE (attach or fasten (someone or something) with string or similar cord).............otherwise these young shoots will fall off in the wind..........

So Jose and Josh  have been racking wine to make sure we have clear wine when bottling, we do not filter. I have been told the wine looks clear already but we are leaving about two cases of wine in the barrel to add to our Zp2c. Zp2c is racked several more times to make sure it is also clear.

I may have my wife agreeing to a trip to the Oregon Cost for my birthday, it looks a possible. Pat is tough

so I am talking to my wife, that is constant. When we are together as some of you have seen, we talk constantly. "Pat have you seen that person who wants to verify their credit card?"

We have gotten many calls in the last few days and I am happy to answer the phone. Tonight I was up recovering and had a shot of Tequila and this guy calls from the East Coast and wants to buy wine. We had a great conversation So any of you, call and I usually answer the phone........

Some of you follow Tesla news, even the stock, so you may know the stock is up again. Tesla was at 142 recently and now it is 255 so do I sell? The stock was 286 nine months ago and fell back and forth several times since then. I just love my Model S 90D so I am looking forward to a trip up the Oregon Coast..........no way I will pay for Gas of course and also no way I pay for any fuel, including electricity charging, all is free....................

The young vines are the vines planted in the last 10 years. The old vines need little attention so we spend little time with these low producing vines, but that means they are easy to take care of in the summer growing period............But harvest takes time in these vines and they produce half of what the young vines produce ............So do we charge more for these young wines or charge more or less for the old vines. We are all on salary here so It costs me the same for all wines. I do think our Block 4 could be charged at $100 if a had a marketing program. I believe that wine would hold up to all wines sold anywhere now. BUT I am not charging more than I do, only 10% more. I really have no respect for any one charging over $50 a bottle for wine, just my opinion................unless you are figuring in your jet plane or palace, then I agree you could justify it................I am not greedy

8:45 Pm: I found out I can go to the coast so I am finally happy. So Pat and I will enjoy a nice place in Depoe Bay and we hope to get together with friends who have had more moves than I. One who moved from down the coast to Marin County and then to Oregon.

So I have a lot of profit in my Tesla stock so what do I do??..........

Yesterday I had a profit in my present hold in Tesla stock of $70,000. I have spent about twice of that on my Model S twice. So do I hold on for now and think I could make enough to justify my fun..........

Cars depreciate and less you have a classic...............

My 94 year old Mother is doing better than I. She knows how to stay out of trouble. Pat is down watching Giants games so On Sunday I will go down and see my vigorous Mother, Vivien Coffaro and Kate, pat and I and maybe Lynda my sister will share a lunch with my great Mother

So even though I turned in my 2013 Model S, I I paid for both after rebates $135,000. I own a Model S90 will be a classic eventually. Like I said before I would like to buy more stock, under my break even, 180  share.................

Josh and Jose have been doing a great job and I got to try several blended wines in the last few days. My back is still not GOOD so it was nice to open a 2013 Aglianico and compare it to a 2015 sample right out of the tank...........I love Aglianico, but for some of you it could be too intense. My Best friend is Pat and she is not partial to Aglianico...........Tomorrow is another day

Billie was a trip!! he would come up and offer me some Hash. It was nice for awhile, but boy it made you think for awhile

Billie was in 1972 right after I made $60,000 and quit my job. The girl I was dating thought I was crazy. I was right, I never worked for another person............it was not easy. Billie is the big change...........

Billie was not a beautiful looking person but he was dramatic. Right away once I asked about the side of his face, he said I had a motorcycle accident and I will never drive one again, because all motorcycle drivers have an accident. Hey I did not know anything about motorcycles except they got in way of my Corvette. Billie and I talked, he wanted to improve my house........long story..........to be

93 Taylor Drive in Fairfax was a fun place. It was up 120 stairs and it was the first time I did not have any one come up 120 uneven stairs to offer me anything, including, religion..........

Billie saw me go slowly up the stairs and gave me a bad time but then he said, you have got much stronger, I was 29 years old then and I guess still OK, so he encouraged me to do things I would never have done before...........

93 Taylor Drive needed help besides the uneven 120 stairs so Billie and I decided to invest in maybe $50,000 into 93 Taylor Drive. Of course that included compensating Billie with money. I did not need drugs, hash, grass was easy and cost very little.

The problem with Billie was he smoked all day. He was stable and motivated me most of the time but it could be problem.......

More tomorrow

Saturday April 9, 2016

OK, about Billie...............This is my diary so I just want to document things from the past for any one interested at how I got where I am.......

Billie inspired me to think about building. I knew nothing about construction living in San Francisco. Obviously back then and now there are virtually no places to build a single family dwelling. I hope there are some. San Francisco is 7.5 miles square, I think a little less square footage than Manhattan. I have been to Manhattan but I remember it very long but still confined. So even thought there are more people in Manhattan, San Francisco is also in demand...........I lived in Fairfax in Marin County, many places with room to play around with tearing down walls, which Billy and I did...............

Why I do not understand. Seattle is another place in demand. I purchased both Seattle and San Francisco properties, back in 2008 and 2009. I have never been afraid to take a chance. I have been burned many times..........Why has those two towns, sorry they are small in places, so in demand. I would never stay in San Francisco for more than a few days. I lived there for 28 yers, until then moving to Fairfax. The Weather is horrible in San Francisco, mostly boring. 55-65 all year round. No snow to get you excited, not extremes to talk about..........seriously, I don't think it has been 100 years since San Francisco got up to 100, but especially down to 32..........Sure there were a few days when it got up to 85, about but only 6 times a year and since there is no air conditioning in most of San Francisco, those days sometimes, up to 90 was not fun. I remember driving home late night 12 am on a September morning after working at the Post Office 6 hours and putting all the windows down in my 1964 Corvette and feeling only hot air wind. Those few days I remembered, there was no wind, no fans to help for wind,..........hot.............this day San Francisco there is little new building, but some repair.

At one point I have mentioned to some people, I grabbed a sack of 90 pound concrete and moved up 120 stairs. I could not put it on my back, but I would clamp it on my belly. I would get up enough courage and never fail, up 120 uneven stairs without railings. I was young and determined..................never fell, never slowed

So Billie had me bring up one hundred sacks over several days. We built a great deck which is still standing at 93 Taylor Drive, in Fairfax

Billie inspired me in many ways and I may say more, but I moved on...............more maybe about Billie soon, it is hard

I have tried all the 2015 wines in samples provided by Josh who has done a great job. All the 2015 wines are great and compared to several 2014 wines over the last few days I can say we have another good year.............
