Today we have only one more wine to bottle and we will be through, our 2013 10 Month My Zin. It will be fun. I found a bottle of 2009 on my counter for several weeks, it is time to try. So I better bring up a My Zin from 2010, 11, 12............

We bottled our 2013 Zp2c yesterday along with our Terre Melange. As you may know we are offering the Zp2c on sale for $144 a case right now. Last night I decided to open a fresh bottle of 2013 Dave's Cuvee which was bottled last week. This Dave's Cuvee is similar in one way to Zp2c. It is a blend of grapes left on the vine either by our harvesters missing them or just no quite ready earlier while the Zp2c is a blend of wine left over from all barrels. We call most of the grapes harvested for Dave's Cuvee last year, second crop. Over the years I have made a lot of wine from such fruit and found the resultant wine to be just as good as wine we make earlier in the harvest, except smoother. This year is no exception. I found the wine to be very nice and round and just as nice as the Zp2c. The Zp2c seemed to have a little more tannin. They both are very drinkable now. I also opened a fresh bottle of 2013 Petite Sirah and I still like it better than all the other wines we just bottled BUT it does have tannins and will take time to smooth out.

The 2013 Dave's Cuvee is not offered on our order form since I am thinking about offering it for a special sale price later this year or next.
