May 5 - May 11, 2013

	Monday May 6, 2013 I had a wonderful few days celebrating my 70th birthday. Many friends came by to wish me well. Pat, Kate and Susie were here along with my sister and Mother. In all there were over 50 people stopped by. It was an honor to see all these people again, some after many years. Kate went home to San Francisco and Susie headed home to Seattle. Pat is also in San Francisco where she is attending a few Giants games so I am alone for a few days which is fine with me. I need to recover. Susie checked her cat on the plane and Oliver is now up in Seattle at his new home. My other cat is also not with us anymore. She passed away last night at the ripe age of 15 years. I now have to decide whether I want to get another cat. This is the first time in my life that there has not been a cat in my household. Catarino wants me to get another cat because of our large mice population around this property. I will discus it with Pat when she comes back. On Wednesday we will start remodeling Kate's kitchen in San Francisco. It will be an adventure. 9:00 Pm: As i said before I am alone and now I can say THAT for the first time since our cats are gone. Part of our family has gone where we all will go. BUT some day way off,,,,,,,,,,............this world will have to find another place to live. It will happen but not until many generations after all of us. There will not be enough room on this Earth. . yes, Pat has been away to see Giants games but in the past she left me with the responsibility of feeding the cats and Koovy before them. Now tonight I have no animals to feed except me. I have no problem feeding me since I always make the meals around here. I am referring to the fact I have no one else to provide for since both of our cats are gone and I am alone........... Alone has advantages as most of you know. That way I get to do what I want until I go to bed........ The problem is ..........I have had little sleep for the last week. Some of you were here Saturday and saw I did try a speech to recognize all in the room at the time and I did OK. A few important people I wanted to include were late......I digress BLOOM is here. We have grape clusters forming and the birds are prevalent even tonight in the twilight. The birds will go to bed soon.......they are organized. I like staying alive every night as long as I can.
